The role of the Wheels for All centre
Wheels for All plays a vital part in giving people of all abilities the chance to be active on their terms. Wheels for All centres develop as safe and enjoyable settings in the local community that focus on the social aspects of well-being as well as the physical benefits of being active.
A Wheels for All centre is a community asset, which community members should be proud of and keen to get involved with. To do this effectively we need to ensure participants, volunteers and partner organisations all enjoy and benefit from the service.
This can effectively be done through the support, guidance, and dedication of Wheels for All staff. The co-ordinator responsible the Lancashire Wheels for All sites will be committed to ensuring the current activity is delivered to the highest standards, whilst at the same time, promoting and attracting new participants to the service.
Post holder will be responsible for:
• Being a reliable and regular point of contact at either Lancashire or Cheshire Wheels for All sites( two locations in region).
• To be present at each of the delivery days at the Wheels for All centres
• Ensuring that each Wheels for All complies with the Standard Operational Procedures as set out by Cycling Projects head office.
• Identifying further funding opportunities to support the development of inclusive cycling engagement across Lancashire.
