Wheels for All was delighted to welcome Hannah Spencer MP, Member of Parliament for Gorton and Denton, to our Debdale Park Hub to see first-hand the difference inclusive cycling is making for people across the local community.
During her visit, Hannah met members of the Wheels for All team, volunteers and participants, and learned more about our inclusive cycling sessions. She also had the opportunity to see our range of adapted cycles in action and discover how they help people of all ages and abilities experience the freedom, independence and enjoyment of cycling.
The visit follows a recent break-in at the Debdale Park Hub, which resulted in a number of adapted cycles and pieces of equipment being stolen. The incident was a significant setback for the Hub, but our dedicated team and volunteers have worked hard to keep sessions running and ensure local people can continue to access inclusive cycling.

“It was fantastic to welcome Hannah to Debdale Park and show her the incredible work that takes place here every week. While the recent break-in was a huge blow to our Hub and the people who rely on our sessions, the response from our team, volunteers and wider community has been incredible.
“Hannah’s visit was a great opportunity to talk openly about the challenges we have faced, but also to focus on what really matters – the positive difference inclusive cycling makes to people’s lives. We’re incredibly proud of the community we have built at Debdale Park and grateful for the support we continue to receive.”
During the visit, Hannah also heard about the wider impact of Wheels for All and our ambition to make cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability.
The team was pleased to have the opportunity to discuss both the challenges facing the Hub and the importance of ensuring inclusive cycling continues to be available to people in Gorton, Denton and the wider Manchester community.
