Change lives through the joy of cycling

At Wheels for All, everyone deserves the freedom, enjoyment, and confidence that cycling brings — whatever their age, ability, or background.

Our volunteers make this possible. They create welcoming spaces where people learn, have fun, and discover independence through cycling.

“People who aren’t normally able to get out cycling can come here and join in and enjoy the great outdoors. I can see how the simple act of cycling brings so much happiness.”
— Vince, Volunteer

Why volunteer with Wheels for All?

Volunteers are at the heart of Wheels for All. By giving your time, you help others and gain skills, friendships, and pride.

Benefits

  • Learn new skills – practical training and on-the-ground experience.
  • Make an impact – support people to enjoy independence and inclusion.
  • Meet new people – connect with friendly, diverse participants and volunteers.
  • Be inspired and inspire others – share in every smile and success.
  • Grow your confidence and CV – real-world experience with purpose.

One of my most cherished moments came during a session for visually impaired riders. The clients were incredible — confident, enthusiastic, and full of joy as they felt the fresh air on their faces. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and in the end I cried tears of happiness. It was a reminder of why this work matters so deeply.
— Harry, Volunteer

What you can do

Everyone can help — no cycling expertise required. There is a role for everyone at Wheels for All supporting activities such as:

  • Helping move cycles in and out of storage
  • Welcoming participants as they arrive
  • Handing out, fitting and collecting helmets
  • Accompanying riders on the track for encouragement
  • Supporting with simple cycle safety checks and setup
  • Remote project support
  • Supporting us at event attendances

Flexible and inclusive volunteering

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, abilities, and needs.
As an inclusive charity, we reflect the same spirit of inclusion for our volunteers as we do for our participants.

We’ll work with you individually to find a role that’s fulfilling and right for you.
You tell us your strengths and interests — we’ll help tailor your role, so you feel comfortable and supported.

  • Different ways to volunteer – in person, at events, or remotely
  • Local opportunities – we’ll connect you to your nearest hub
  • Flexible volunteering – any time you can support us will be greatly appreciated
  • Personal support – we’ll take the time to understand your needs and help tailor our roles accordingly to allow you to perform the role to your best ability

Join the Wheels for All family

Every participant progression, achievement and smile starts with someone like you.
Join an inclusive, supportive community where everyone belongs and everyone matters.

“The best thing about volunteering is seeing the happy faces! The riders come back beaming — it’s amazing to be part of that joy.”
— Dave, Volunteer
