Our long-standing relationship with TARMAC and their brilliant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team continues to go from strength to strength and we’re thrilled to share the latest chapter in this inspiring partnership.
Following the success of a recent corporate volunteer day, where local TARMAC employees joined council staff to help clean up our Court Hey Park Hub in support of our Pedal Away summer cycling sessions, the generosity didn’t stop there.
Karen and Tom from TARMAC’s CSR team recently returned to our Halewood Hub with an incredible donation of 100 brand-new helmets! This vital equipment will replenish our entire stock across all four Knowsley hubs, replacing aging helmets and ensuring our participants have access to safe, high-quality gear.
During their visit to Halewood, Karen and Tom spent time with our dedicated Wheels for All volunteer team, chatted with local groups, and saw first-hand the impact our inclusive cycling activities are having within the community.
Jonpaul, Inclusive Cycling Co-Ordinator for Knowsley, said:
“We’re so grateful for the continued support from TARMAC. Their donation of helmets will make a real difference across our hubs, helping us to keep participants safe and confident while they ride. What’s even more heartening is the time Karen, Tom and the wider team have given to us — it shows a genuine commitment to the community and a belief in what we’re doing here.”
We’re hugely thankful to Karen, Tom, and everyone at TARMAC for their ongoing support and enthusiasm. Their commitment doesn’t stop here either — they’ve pledged to return for more corporate volunteering days in the near future, helping us continue to grow our provision and maintain welcoming spaces for everyone.
Thank you, TARMAC - we’re excited to keep working together!
