Their annual fundraising ride, now in its seventh year, saw the dedicated group cycle from Criccieth in Wales to Rainhill, passing through scenic spots including Llandudno and Chester along the way. Their efforts have already raised over £1,700, with an additional £250 generously donated by Rainhill Rotary Club.
Cliff may be a familiar face to some of you as he has been a dedicated volunteer at our Pedal Away sessions in Knowsley. A role he has held for many years, saying “Volunteering is just one of the ways I like to give back to Wheels for All and Pedal Away. It’s an amazing way to help my local community. Seeing everyone’s smiling faces every week as they grow in confidence is the best feeling and now fundraising for the charity lets us make those smiles even bigger!”
We are incredibly grateful to all of the cyclists who took part in this epic challenge. The commitment and energy make a real difference. The money raised will go directly towards helping us deliver inclusive cycling opportunities to people of all abilities in communities across the country.
Nicola Henshaw, Head of Fundraising at Wheels for All, said:
“We’re blown away by the dedication of Cliff and his team. Fundraising like this is vital to our work – it allows us to keep expanding our reach and delivering truly inclusive cycling sessions across the UK. What makes efforts like this even more powerful is that they often go together with volunteering. We’re lucky to have supporters who not only raise money but also give their time, energy and passion to help others enjoy the freedom of cycling.”
Thank you to everyone who took part in the ride and supported this amazing achievement. Your efforts are helping us keep inclusive cycling accessible, fun, and thriving!
