Wheels for All comes to the Midlands!

Posted:

Wheels for All is expanding its reach into the Midlands and we’re kicking things off with two special events at East Park, Wolverhampton, in partnership with West Midlands Cycle and Walk. These events will offer a chance for volunteers, carers, teachers, health professionals, and local residents to experience the benefits of inclusive cycling first-hand.

Wednesday 8th October – Inclusive Cycling Training Day

This practical, hands-on day is perfect for anyone who wants to make cycling more accessible within their community.
Participants will:

  • Learn how to deliver safe, supportive inclusive cycling sessions
  • Gain adapted cycle knowledge and practical coaching skills
  • Build confidence to support people of all abilities to enjoy cycling

All trained volunteers will be encouraged to support future Wheels for All sessions in the region, helping to create lasting opportunities for everyone to get involved in cycling.

Thursday 9th October, 10am–2pm – Inclusive Cycling Taster Day

Come along and experience the joy of inclusive cycling for yourself!
This friendly drop-in event invites people of all ages and abilities to try out a range of adapted cycles, meet the Wheels for All team, and discover just how accessible cycling can be.

Ian Tierney, Chief Executive Officer at Wheels for All, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing Wheels for All to the Midlands. These events mark an important step in our mission to make cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background or ability.

By working closely with partners like West Midlands Cycle and Walk, we can empower local communities to discover the health, wellbeing and social benefits that inclusive cycling brings — and ensure that everyone has the chance to experience the simple joy of getting on a cycle”

A huge thank you to our partners at West Midlands Cycle and Walk for their invaluable support in bringing inclusive cycling opportunities to the Midlands.

We can’t wait to see you there and to begin building an inclusive cycling community across Wolverhampton and beyond!
