Cycle Volunteering in Wyre

Posted:

Wyre Wheels is holding an Open Day for new inclusive cycling volunteers to support people in making cycling accessible for everyone.

Wyre Wheels sessions support people who may have difficulties, disabilities, impairments, age-related health issues and people recovering from hospital to keep active by taking up cycling as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Guests of the open day can meet the team, try out the range of adapted bikes, learn about the volunteer roles and witness a Wheels For All session in action.

The volunteering roles available are Wheels For All volunteers (helping to deliver the session), Cycle Maintenence volunteers (maintaining bikes) plus meeter & greeters (welcoming attendees/taking the register) but if you have any specific skills, such as marketing, photography, videoing or networking, they would love to hear from you.

The event will take place on

Friday 1st April at Memorial Park, Highbury Avenue, Fleetwood Lancashire, FY7 7HE from 10:30am-1:30pm.
