Hello from Wheels for All.
Thank you for cycling with us in 2025. We hope you’ve enjoyed your time at sessions, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Last year was an amazing year for the charity. We’ve opened new hubs in communities that previously had no inclusive cycling opportunities, and we launched our new Inclusive Cycling Network, through which we support any group or organisation offering cycling to disabled people and people living with long-term health conditions. We were also thrilled to welcome Chris Boardman CBE as our patron, strengthening our voice for inclusive cycling across the country.
As we look ahead to another exciting year in 2026, we wanted to let you know about a small change to our Wheels for All participation fee.
Session fee changes
From 1 January 2026, the cost of taking part in a Wheels for All session will change from £5 to £6. We have kept the fee at £5 since 2020 and during that time, the cost of running an inclusive cycling session has continued to rise. It now costs around £25 per rider to put on a safe, high-quality Wheels for All session. Your fee has always been a contribution towards these costs, and we work hard to fundraise for the rest.
We raise money from local authorities, trusts and foundations, corporate partners, personal donations and from the brilliant people who take on fundraising challenges for us. Like many charities, it has become harder to raise the same level of funding in the current economic climate. Because of this, we have taken the difficult decision to increase the session fee by £1.
Optional supporter tickets
From feedback we have heard at our sessions, many people have told us they would like to contribute a little more to help keep sessions accessible for everyone. With this in mind, from January, when you book your next session online, you will see two optional supporter tickets.
£12 Supporter ticket - a higher contribution that helps us offer inclusive cycling to more people.
£25 Champion ticket - reflects the typical cost of delivering a session and will support our work across the charity.
Choosing one of these is completely optional, and the standard subsidised £6 ticket remains available to everyone.
The same ticket options will also apply to our Pedal Away rides. For these, the equivalent prices will be:
Subsidised ticket – £2.50
Supporter ticket – £5
Champion ticket – £10
If you’re able to support us in this way, it really does make a difference, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you beforehand if you do choose to make a donation.
Where your money goes
Your fee helps us to look after and insure our specialist adapted cycles. For example, a side-by-side costs around £7,000, a wheelchair carrier around £10,000 and a standard trike around £2,000. It also helps us store, maintain, repair and replace these cycles when needed, cover venue hire at many of our hubs, provide quality helmets for all riders and meet insurance costs, which have risen five-fold in the last two years. It also supports our dedicated volunteers with warm, practical kit and helps fund our local and regional staff who coordinate sessions, work with partners and secure funding to keep the hubs going. Every bit of support helps us keep Wheels for All open, safe and welcoming for everyone.
If the cost is difficult for you
We understand that the cost of living is not specific to charities like Wheels for All and we never want money to be a barrier to anyone taking part. If paying the fee is difficult for you, please let us know. We can offer support and make sure you can still join in. You can speak to a member of staff or volunteer at your hub, call us on 01925 575 628, or email hello@wheelsforall.org.uk. We’re here to help.
Fundraise for Wheels for All
You can also be a fundraiser for Wheels for All. If you or friends and family fancy supporting your local hub with a fundraising effort, do get in touch with our head office. We can chat through your idea and help promote your event. Every fundraiser helps us keep sessions open and support more people.
Thank you for being part of Wheels for All and for your continued support. #WeRideTogether
