Smiley Film Awards

Posted:

It was an enormous privilege for everyone involved with Wheels For All, to be nominated for the 2023 Smiley Film awards.

Philippa, our co-ordinator from Wheels for All Surrey met Ian, our CEO, in Leicester Square, London, for the annual red-carpet event.

They had a sneaky peak into the glamorous world of film and media, and met some amazing people and watched some inspiring films. The event was great for networking and spreading the word of our work and being connected with new opportunities. It highlighted the impact that film and media plays in raising the profile of charities and their beneficiaries.

The day got off to a good start, because in the morning, Virgin Radio legendary broadcaster Chris Evans wished us well, and it ended well because we were awarded Silver in the People’s Award for our film!

No after-show party for Phil and Ian though as they needed to catch the last train home from Waterloo; the life of a movie mogul is all go!

Take a look at our film and if you’d like to volunteer at one of our centres, or if you have someone in your family who would love to get out on a cycle email us at hello@wheelsforall.org.uk.

And finally, thank you to everyone who took a moment to vote for us - much appreciated!
