We're recruiting sessional support staff!

Posted:

Wheels for All is recruiting sessional members of staff to support our community cycling activities across Greater Manchester and Yorkshire. This is an opportunity to work with a well-established and respected charity to help improve people’s health and wellbeing.

You will join our supportive team in delivering our amazing programme of inclusive cycling activities across the region. We have opportunities for sessional support staff who will fulfil the role of ride leaders and activators for our regular weekday daytime and evening activities, and occasional weekend activities and events, which operate for most of the year.

We are looking for experienced, committed and reliable ride leaders and activators who can engage with people and put them at ease on our rides. You will be working with adults and children with differing abilities and needs, supporting them to enjoy cycling activities at their own level.

Can you provide a friendly, inclusive and welcoming environment, as well as promoting our rides to new people and motivate them to keep coming back for more? If so we would love to hear from you!
Most of all we are looking for people who can be integral to ensuring all participants have a positive and engaging cycling experience.

Salary: £12 / hour + 12.07% salary enhancement in lieu of holiday.

Location: Current programmes at our Greater Manchester hubs (Debdale, Salford and Stretford); with further opportunities in the future as we develop our partnerships across Greater Manchester & Yorkshire.

Application: Please apply by sending your CV and a covering letter explaining how you meet the requirements of the role to recruiting@wheelsforall.org.uk, including ‘Sessional Support Worker’ in the title. Alternative formats are also welcomed e.g. video or audio.

Closing date: We are reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and may close recruitment once the program has sufficient staffing capacity.

NOTE: STRICTLY NO RECRUITMENT AGENCIES PLEASE.

Initial interviews will take place online, followed by an invitation to one of our inclusive cycling sessions.

Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
