Barclays volunteer for Wheels for All

Over the last few weeks, we have had the pleasure of welcoming volunteers from Barclays Bank to our Wheels for All Hubs in Salford and Debdale Park. Their participation was part of Barclays’ corporate volunteering initiative, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support.

At Wheels for All, our mission is to make cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. The enthusiasm and dedication of the Barclays volunteers made a significant impact on our sessions, providing an enriching experience for all our participants.

“It felt so good to walk into the session and see so much good being done” Neil Brannigan, Analytics Manager for Barclays told us, “We really enjoyed getting stuck in right away with helping participants decide which cycle to ride and being able to assist them on the track. A highlight for us was definitely being able to take one of the younger attendees around on the Velo Plus, it was amazing to see how much enjoyment she got out of it – and we did too!”

Barclays hard work and commitment not only helped us run the sessions smoothly but also highlighted the positive effects of corporate volunteering. It’s inspiring to see businesses like Barclays Bank actively contributing to their communities and supporting inclusive initiatives.

“We loved having the team from Barclays be able to join us for two sessions” Rhys Phillips, National Volunteer Manager for Wheels for All said, “It’s always great when businesses from within the local community can come along and see what Wheels for All does. Corporate volunteer days are so valuable to both them and to us so we’re always happy to welcome anybody who wants to donate their time”

To everyone at Barclays Bank, thank you for joining us and for being a part of our journey towards a more inclusive future. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
