Support Cliff's Rainhill Charity Bike Ride 2019

Cliff is riding coast to coast to raise money for Pedal Away.

Please support Cliff on his coast to coast bike ride to raise funds for the inclusive cycling provided by Pedal Away. Cliff’s route will take him from Tynemouth Castle to Workington Pier, following the Hadrian’s Wall National Cycle Route.

“I am so grateful to Cycling Projects (Pedal Away) for giving me the initial opportunity and providing the resources, in late 2017, for me to take up cycling again after a forty year break. I know I share this gratitude with a lot of my Pedal Away cycling buddies all of whom have become very good friends over the past two and a half years and who also have a shared love of cycling.

“I will be cycling with 35 other cyclists on the Annual Rainhill Charity Bike Ride. We will be cycling coast to coast from Tynemouth to Ravenglass in some parts following the Hadrians Wall Cycleway; overnight stops have been planned in Hexham and Carlisle. Total mileage is approximate 160-180 miles over the three days dependent upon the route taken.”

“Well said Cliff - you are so right. Pedal Away changed my life 3 years ago - I am still cycling every week with my lovely friends keeping fit and it gave me the confidence to cycle on my own to work - I have achieved a triathlon, First Aid course , trained leader and now doing a bit of weight training - never felt fitter and now I am so excited for my second cycling holiday in Spain with the girls - it all started with Pedal Away Charity!”

“Couldn’t agree more guys!!! We all owe such a lot to Cycling Projects and Pedal Away. I know my life is far richer with my involvement over the past 5/6 years 😍”

“Well done cliff as you all know i am mum to 3 disabled adults and life is hard. Pedal Away with my friends is my time but due to bad health over the last year I haven’t been out much, but the Wednesday night rides are getting me back see you all soon on the Thursday rides missed you all. xxx”
