The launch of Isle of Wight Wheels for All

Cycling Projects has been working closely with Isle Access - a charity on the Isle of Wight that supports residents on the island to become more active and try out new activities and essentially weave activities and exercise into lifestyle.
Inclusive cycling was recognised by Isle Access as a key activity that they could offer to the people they engage with, and so a partnership was formed with Cycling Projects to provider guidance in terms of training, inclusive cycling delivery, promotion and supplying a broad fleet of cycles.

The partnership between Cycling Projects and Isle Access has led to the successful launch of Isle of Wight Wheels for All the Wonderfest Festival (a family themed festival between 31st July and 3rd Aug 2019).

A great pool of volunteers were also able to receive Wheels for All Leader Training and this allowed everyone to fully get involved in the delivery of cycling activities over the remaining days of the festival.

Further Wheels for All sessions will be held across the island with the next one being at Inclusive sports day on Saturday 28th September at Ryde (Community space next to Tescos). For more information please contact info@IsleAccess.co.uk or check the website www.isleaccess.co.uk
