We are looking for an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about inclusivity and accessibility in community programs to join our small team in Tendring. The successful person will be responsible for ensuring high-quality inclusive cycling sessions are delivered in line with our quality standards, co-ordinating a small team of staff and volunteers, as well as supporting with the set up of additional cycling hubs and events across the Tendring District

Full time fixed term contract (35 hours per week)
Until 31st Oct 2025
Salary: £24-26k DOE (part time hours may be considered)

Job Purpose

Overview:
As the Inclusive Cycling Coordinator, you’ll lead inclusive cycling activities for children, adults, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities or health conditions. Your goal is to create positive cycling experiences for all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Activity Coordination:
o Manage and deliver inclusive cycling activities at our hubs.
o Develop programs ensuring safety and engagement.
o Support sustainable hub establishment and funding efforts.
o Oversee sessional staff and volunteers.
o Maintain bikes as per guidelines.
o Conduct research for new proposals.

Volunteer Development:
o Assist in recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers.
o Organize activities to attract new volunteers.
o Support volunteers throughout their involvement.
o Act on volunteer feedback.

Monitoring and Evaluation:
o Ensure quality and safety data collection using Kinetic+.
o Provide regular performance updates and grant reports.

Marketing and Communications:
o Work with the Marketing Officer to showcase the charity’s impact.

Finance Management:
o Submit financial information timely.
o Communicate staffing changes to the finance team.

General:
o Lead by example, fostering a positive environment.
o Adhere to Wheels for All policies and procedures.
o Attend sessions regularly.
o Be flexible with working hours, including outdoor work.
o Promote and maintain workplace health, safety, and security.

Qualifications:
• Passion for inclusivity and accessibility in community programs.

• Collaborative and team-oriented.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Empathetic and sensitive to participants’ needs.
• Flexible with working hours.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.

Desirable:
• Experience in coordinating cycling programs.
• Volunteer management experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Understanding of fundraising principles.
