Daryl's Story

Posted:

When Daryl, pictured here with Sue from Wheels for All Cheshire, first started with us, he was nervous as he couldn’t ride a bike. He had struggled to learn how to ride throughout his childhood and didn’t think he would be able to do it.

Thanks to John, one of our terrific volunteers, Daryl has learned how to ride a bike and achieved his goal!

Daryl says, “John and the other volunteers are always friendly and patient and they clearly love what they do.” He clearly remembers the big cheer everyone gave him the first time he rode the bike around the track on his own.

Thanks to Wheels for All, Daryl is now confident riding and has even bought his own bike which the volunteers kindly checked over for him.

Even though he’s now learnt how to ride, Daryl still comes along to Wheels for All every week as he loves to see all the volunteers, have a chat and ride the bikes.
